ISLAMABAD: The price of per tola of 24 karat gold went up by Rs.400 and was sold at Rs.249,400 on Saturday against its sale at Rs.249,000 on previous trading day.
The all Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also raised by Rs.343 to Rs.213,820 from Rs. 213,477 whereas that of 10 grams 22 karat gold increased to Rs.196,002 from Rs. 195,687.
The price of per tola and ten-gram silver remained constant at Rs.2,900 and Rs.2,486.28 respectively.
The Association reported the price of precious metal in the international market increased to US $2,410 from US $2,404.
The international market for the yellow plates remained highly volatile recently due to a number of reasons including investment from the Chinese investors as their stock market went down and they opted to invest in the safe haven.
Meanwhile, a number of private banks in the US also opted to invest in gold taking its price first above 2300 dollars and then even above 2400 dollars per ounce.
