ISLAMABAD: The per tola price of the 24 karats of gold witnessed an increase by Rs.200 and was sold in the market at Rs.214,200 on Wednesday compared to its sale at Rs. 214,000 on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, as reported by All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of the 10 grams of 24 karats of the precious metal also went up by Rs.172 to settle at Rs.183,642 from its previous rates of Rs.183,470 whereas the price of the 10 grams of 22 karats of gold increased to Rs.168,338 from its last day price of Rs168,181.
However, the price per tola and ten grams of the white plate (silver) observed no change and remained constant at Rs.2,580 and 2,211.93, respectively.
Gold Rates in International Market
Unlike the local market, the price of the precious metal in the international market remained constant at $1,988 per ounce. The price of the yellow metal in the local market went up due to the devaluation of the local currency against the American dollar.
