Gold Rates in Pakistan Decline

KARACHI: On Thursday, the price of 24-carat gold per tola in Pakistan reached Rs218,000, marking a decrease of Rs500.

Simultaneously, the 10-gram of 24-carat gold reached Rs186,900 after losing Rs428.

Internationally, the price of gold per ounce also experienced a decline, decreasing by $5 to reach $2,055.

During the last trading day of the previous week, on Saturday, the gold market in Pakistan witnessed a notable decrease, with 24-carat gold sliding to Rs216,800 per tola.

Even in smaller quantities, the attractiveness of these prices persisted, with 10 grams of 24-carat gold priced at Rs185,871. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-carat gold was available at Rs170,382.

These fluctuations are intricately connected to changes in the value of the US Dollar, emphasizing the close relationship between currency values and gold prices.

Globally, the current gold price stands at $2,040 per ounce. It is important to note that gold rates in Pakistan can undergo significant variations throughout the day, influenced by trends in the global market.
