ISLAMABAD: The price of per tola of 24 karat gold reduced by Rs.3,000 and was sold at Rs.251,000 on Friday against its sale at Rs.254,000 on the previous trading day.
According to the all Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold was also reduced by Rs.2,572 to Rs.215,192 from Rs. 217,764. The price of 10 gram 22 karat gold went down to Rs.197,259 from Rs. 199,617.
The price of per tola silver also went down by Rs.50 to Rs.2,850 whereas that of 10 gram silver decreased by Rs.42.87 to Rs.2,443.41.
The Association reported the price of gold in the global market decreased by $55 to $2,415 from $2,470,
The international market for the yellow plates remained highly volatile recently due to a number of reasons including investment from the Chinese investors as their stock market went down and they opted to invest in the safe haven.
Meanwhile, a number of private banks in the US also opted to invest in gold taking its price first above 2300 dollars and then even above 2400 dollars per ounce.
