ISLAMABAD: The price of per tola of 24 karat gold went up by Rs.600 in Pakistan and was sold at Rs.245,600 on Wednesday against its sale at Rs. 245,000 on the previous trading day.
According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also increased by Rs.514 to Rs.210,562 from Rs. 210,048 whereas that of 10 gram 22 karat gold surged to Rs.193,016 from Rs. 192,544,
The price of per tola and 10-gram silver remained unchanged at Rs.2,900 and Rs.2,486.28 respectively.
Gold Prices in International Market
The Association reported the price of gold in the international market increased by $10 to $2,372 from $2362.
The international market for the yellow plates remained highly volatile recently due to a number of reasons including investment from the Chinese investors as their stock market went down and they opted to invest in the safe haven.
Meanwhile, a number of private banks in the US also opted to invest in gold taking its price first above $2300 and then even above $2400 per ounce.
