Gold Prices Increase to Rs 187,300 Per Tola in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: After an increase of Rs 5,000 on Friday, the per tola price of 24 karat gold experienced another increase of Rs 1,200 on Saturday, jumping to another record high of Rs 187,300 from Rs 186,100 on the last trading day.

The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also witnessed an increase of Rs 1,029 to Rs 160,580 against Rs 159,551 the previous day, whereas that of 10 grams of 22 karat went up to Rs 147,198 against Rs 146,255 on Friday, All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.

Meanwhile, the prices of one tola and 10-gram silver experienced no change and remained at Rs 2,100 and Rs 1,800.41 respectively.

Continues increase in Gold Prices

The price of gold in the international market also witnessed an increase of US$ 20 to US$ 1,920 as compared to the previous price of US$ 1,900, the association reported.

The last couple of weeks witnessed a continuous increase in gold prices and experiences several jumps including the last day of Rs 5000 per tola in a single day. Meanwhile, the rate of the dollar to the Pakistani rupee also recorded continuous appreciation resulting in pressure on the price of gold in the country.
