ISLAMABAD: After a sharp decline the other day, the per tola price of 24 karat gold increased again by Rs3,500 on Wednesday and was traded at Rs205,000 against its sale at Rs201,500 on Tuesday.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also appreciated by Rs3,000 to Rs175,754 as compared to Rs172,754 on Tuesday, while that of 10 grams of 22 karats was increased up to Rs161,108 from Rs158,358, All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.
The price of one tola and ten-gram silver remained unchanged at Rs2,250 and Rs1,929, respectively.
Gold prices in the international market
Meanwhile, the association reported that the gold price in the international market increased by US$27 to US$ 1,929 against its sale at US$ 1,902 on Wednesday.
Markets in Pakistan are witnessing a sharp increase in the price of gold and the value of the US dollar due to the current grim economic situation in the country.
