ISLAMABAD: The price of 24-karat gold registered a decline in Pakistan on Saturday, with the per tola rate decreasing by Rs. 700. According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, gold was sold at Rs. 276,000 per tola, compared to Rs. 276,700 on the previous day trading.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also saw a reduction, falling by Rs. 601 to Rs. 236,625 from Rs. 237,226. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold dropped to Rs. 216,907 from Rs. 217,456.
Despite the drop in gold rates, the prices of silver remained stable. The per tola and 10-gram prices of silver were unchanged at Rs. 3,050 and Rs. 2,614.88, respectively.
The decline in local gold prices aligns with a decrease in the international market, where gold rates fell by $6, bringing the price to $2,657 from $2,663.
This reduction follows a similar trend observed yesterday, when gold prices in Pakistan dropped by Rs. 300 per tola, and 10-gram gold fell by Rs. 256. The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) shared these figures, reflecting a consistent downward movement in gold prices both locally and globally.
