ISLAMABAD: After a continuous increase for a couple of days the per tola price of 24 karat gold witnessed a decline of Rs 2,800 on Monday, decreasing to Rs 184,500 from Rs 187,300 on the last trading day. On Friday the price of gold witnessed a massive increase of Rs 5000 in one tola reaching a record high.
The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also witnessed a decrease of Rs 2,401 to Rs 158,179 as compared to Rs 160,580 on Friday, while that of 10 grams of 22 karat went down to Rs 144,997 against Rs 147,198, on the previous trading day, All Sindh Sarafa Jewelers Association reported.
The price of one tola silver went down by Rs 20 to Rs 2,080 whereas that of 10-gram silver decreased by Rs 17.15 to Rs 1,800.41.
Gold Prices in international market
Meanwhile, the price of gold in the international market declined by US$ 5 to US$ 1,915 as compared to the price of US$ 1,920, on Friday the association reported. The decrease in prices at the international market usually affects the local jewelers’ market in Pakistan.
