ISLAMABAD: After a slight decline last day, the per tola price of the 24 karats of gold witnessed a major increase of Rs4,900 on Saturday to settle at Rs202,000 per tola.
Meanwhile, according to the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of the 10-gram of 24 karats of gold also went up by Rs4,201 to close at Rs173,182.
Despite the continued appreciation of the Pakistani rupee for the last one month, the price of gold went up in the local market.
Gold Price in International Market
Like the local market, the price of the precious metal also went up in the international market with an increase of $46 per pound to settle at $1,938. The last-day increase in the local market was attributed to a major increase in the price of the yellow metal in the international market.
