Gold Price up by Rs.4,000 to Settle at 208,400 Per Tola

ISLAMABAD: After a non-stop decline for the last couple of days, the per tola price of 24 karats of gold witnessed an increase by Rs4,00 and was sold at Rs.208,000 on Thursday against its sale at Rs.204,000 the previous day.

Last day price was the lowest during the last 5 to 6 months as the price of the precious metal remained highly volatile and reached at Rs 2,40000 in May this year

According to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat of gold also went up by Rs.3429 to Rs.178,326 from Rs. 174,897 whereas the price of 10 grams of 22 karats increased to Rs.163,466 from Rs. 160,322.

Meanwhile the price of per tola white plate (silver) went up by Rs.50 to Rs2,600 whereas that of ten-gram silver increased by Rs.42.87 to Rs.2,229.08.

Gold Price at International Market

The price of the yellow plate in the international market also witnessed an increase for the second consecutive day and recorded an increase by $13 to settle at $1959 per ounce from $1946.

The price of gold in the local market was expected to further go down in Pakistan due to recent financial improvement in the country, however, due to the increase in price in the international market, the price in the local market also went up.
