ISLAMABAD: After a significant decline of Rs1900 last day, the per tola price of 24 karats of gold witnessed an increase by Rs.300 to settle at Rs.216,400 on Tuesday compared to Rs. 216,100 on Monday.
Meanwhile, as reported by All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the rates for the 10 grams of 24 karats of the yellow metal also went up Rs. 257 to reach Rs.185,528 from its last day price of Rs.185,271whereas the price for the 10 grams of 22 karats of gold increased to Rs.170,067 from its previous sale of Rs. 169,832.
However, like the last couple of days, the rates for the per tola and ten grams of Silver witnessed no change and remained constant at Rs.2,660 and 2,280.52, respectively.
Like the local bullion market, the rates for the yellow plate in the international market also went up and registered an increase by $3 to settle at $2,050 per ounce from its last-day price of $.2,047 per ounce. Last day, the price in the international market went down by $18 per ounce.
Fluctuating Price of Gold
The rates for precious metals in the local bullion market are mostly affected by prices in the international market. The last couple of days (except last Saturday) witnessed a significant decrease in the price of the yellow plate in the international market, affecting the domestic gold market. However, on Saturday (and on Tuesday), its price went up to affect the domestic bullion market amid a decline on Monday.
