ISLAMABAD: Rates of the precious metal are still confined in the fluctuation zone as the per tola price of 24 karats of gold went up by Rs 1,300 and was available at Rs.222,800 on Saturday compared to its sale at Rs 221,500 on Friday.

According to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24 karats of the yellow plate also increased by Rs.1,115 to settle at Rs.191,016 from its last day sale at Rs. 189,901 whereas the price of 10 grams of 22 Karats of gold went up to Rs174,076.

However, the per tola and ten-gram white plate (silver) rates remained constant at Rs 2750 and Rs 2357.68, respectively.

Gold Price in International Market

Unlike the local market, the price of yellow metal in the international market went down and witnessed a decrease of $4 to settle at $1,932 per ounce from its last-day sale of $1,936. The price of gold in the local market is usually influenced by the rates in the international market. However, during the last two days, despite the decrease in the international market, the price in the local market increased, which is not a good omen for the local bullion market.
