ISLAMABAD: After a major decline of over Rs 4000 during last two days, the per tola price of 24 karats of gold went up by Rs.1,300 on Friday, to settle at Rs.212,400 in the local market against the previous day sale of Rs.211,100.
Meanwhile, according to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association the rates for the 10 grams of 24 karats of the precious metal witnessed an increase by Rs.1,115 to close at Rs.182,099 against the last day rates of Rs 180,984 whereas that of 10 grams of the 22 karats of the yellow plate increased to Rs.166,924 from the last day price of Rs. 165,902,
However, the price of per tola and ten grams of the white plate (silver) observed no change and remained constant at Rs2,580 and Rs.2,211.93 respectively.
Gold Price in International Market
The rates for the yellow plate in the international market went up by $12 to settle at $2,025 per ounce against $2,013 the previous day.
Bullion experts predicted further decrease in the price of gold in the international market, after the previous day high CPI (Consumer Price Index) figure.
During last two weeks, the price for the yellow metal in the international market went down by more than $35 per ounce due to the delay in the rate cut till April 2024 followed by the CPI figures. The Price for gold in the local market mostly affected by the price in the international market.
