ISLAMABAD: After a significant increase of over 2000 last Saturday, the per tola price of the 24 karats of gold witnessed a further increase of Rs.1,100 in Pakistan and available in the market at Rs 217,600 on Monday against its sale of Rs 216,500 per tola on Saturday.
According to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the rates for the 10 grams of 24 karats of the precious metal also went up by Rs 943 to close at Rs 186,557 from its previous price of Rs185,614 whereas the prices of 10 grams of 22 karats of the yellow metal increased to Rs 170,010146 from its previous day price of Rs 170,146.
Meanwhile, the price of per tola and 10 grams of white plate (Silver) witnessed an increase by Rs.70 and Rs60 to settle at Rs.2,620 and Rs.2,246.21, respectively.
Gold Price in International Market
Like the domestic bullion market, the price of the yellow metal in the international market increased by $8 to settle at $2,030 per ounce against its previous day’s price of $2,022 on Saturday.
The price of gold in the local bullion market is usually influenced by the price in the international market and the depreciation of the local currency. The last three days also witnessed a slight devaluation of the Pakistani Rupee by Rs0.51 against the dollar, which influenced the price of gold in the local market.
