Gold Price Takes a Stopover, Goes Up by Rs1,800 to Settle at Rs 207,800 Per Tola

ISLAMABAD: After a continuous decline for the last couple of weeks, the per tola price of 24 karats of gold on Thursday finally witnessed an increase by Rs 1,800 and was available in the market at Rs 207,800 against its sale at Rs. 206,000 the previous day.

According to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24 karats of gold also witnessed an increase of Rs1,543 to Rs178,155 from Rs 176,612, while the price of 10 grams of 22 karats of gold went up to Rs 163,309 from Rs161,894,

The price of per tola and ten-gram silver remained unchanged at Rs 2480 and Rs 2,126.20, respectively.

Gold Price in International Market

Unlike the local market, the price of the yellow plate in the international market went down by $23 to $1905 from $1928.

During the last couple of months, the precious metal’s highest-ever price was recorded as Rs 2,40,000 per tola on the 10th of May, which slid down to its lowest level at below Rs 206000 last Tuesday.

The decline in gold price started in the first week of June 2023, and during the last month, it went down over Rs35,000, creating some relief for the consumers and public.
