Gold Price Increases by Rs.1,250 to Close at Rs.209,600 Per Tola

ISLAMABAD: After a slight decrease of Rs 150 on Saturday, the per tola price of the 24 karats of gold on Monday witnessed a significant increase by Rs.1,250 and was available in the market at Rs. 209,600 against Rs.208,350 the previous day. 

Meanwhile, according to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24 karats of the precious metal also registered an increase and went up Rs.1,072 to settle at Rs.179,698 from its previous day price of Rs.178,626 whereas the rates for the 10 grams of 22 karats of the yellow metal increased to Rs.164,723 from its previous day price of Rs.163,741.  

However, the price of per tola and ten grams of the white plate (silver) experienced no change and settled at Rs.2,550 and Rs.2,186.21, respectively. 

Gold Price in International Market

Like the local market, the price of the precious metal in the international market also increased and went up by $9 to $2,001 per ounce from its previous day’s price of $1,992.

The yellow metal’s price has continuously increased in the international market for the last couple of days. Last Friday, the rates in the international market were increased by $27 per ounce. The continued increase in the international market has affected the surge in the local market.
