Gold Price Increases by Rs 1,100 to Rs 181,100 per Tola

KARACHI: The price of 24 karat per tola gold witnessed an increase of Rs 1,100 on Thursday and was available at market at Rs 181,100 as compared to its sale at Rs180,000 a day earlier on Wednesday.

The rate of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also recorded an increase of Rs 943 and was sold at Rs 155,264 as compared to Rs154,321, while that of 10-gram 22 karat went up to Rs 142,325 against its sale at Rs 141,461, as reported by All Sindh Sarafa Jewelers Association.

The rates of per tola silver and ten-gram silver remained unchanged at Rs 2,070 and Rs 1,774.69 respectively.

Meanwhile, the price of gold in the international market increased by $ 01 to $ 1878 against its sale at $ 1877, the previous day, the association reported.

Continuous increase in gold price

In the last couple of weeks, gold prices have witnessed an increase as two weeks before,\ it reached a record high of Rs 182800 per tola. Like Petroleum prices, gold prices also affect the sentiments of the market and the daily activities of the masses. People from the lower and middle class are even more worried about the increase in gold prices and consider its increase as the key hurdle in planning their matrimonial activities. — APP
