Gold Price Goes Up by Rs.2,900 to Settle at Rs.211,350 Per Tola

ISLAMABAD: After a decline of about Rs 1150 during the last two days, the per tola price of 24 karats of gold witnessed a significant increase by Rs.2,900 on Thursday to settle at Rs.211,350 against its sale at Rs.208,450 last day.

Meanwhile, according to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24 karats of the yellow metal also went up by Rs.2,486 to close at Rs.181,198 from its previous day sale of Rs.178,712 whereas the prices of 10 grams of 22 karats of gold increased to Rs.166,098 from its last day rates of Rs.163,820.

However, like the last three days, the price of per tola and ten grams of silver remained unchanged to settle at Rs.2,550 and Rs.2,186.21 respectively.

Gold Price in International Market

Like the last two days, the price of the yellow plate in the international market continued its upward trend and witnessed an increase by $20 to settle at $2010 per ounce from its previous price of $1,990. Price of the gold went up by $11 during last two days.

The continues increase in the price of gold in the international market is attributed to the recent Israel-Hamas conflict, which also affected the price in the local market. Last Friday the price in the international market were increased by $27 per ounce.
