Gold Price Goes Down by Rs.750 to Settle at Rs.208,450 Per Tola

ISLAMABAD: After a mild decrease of Rs 400 on the previous day, the per tola price of 24 karats of gold witnessed a further decrease and went down by Rs.750 to settle at Rs.208,450 on Wednesday against Rs.209,200 on the previous day.

Meanwhile, as reported by All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24 karats of the precious metal also went down by Rs.643 to close at Rs.178,712 from its previous day rates of Rs.179,355 whereas the prices of 10 grams of 22 karats of the yellow metal decreased to Rs.163,820 from the price of Rs.164,409 on Tuesday.

However, like the last two days, t rates of per tola and ten-gram for the white plate (silver) witnessed no change and settled at Rs.2,550 and Rs.2,186.21, respectively.

Gold Price in International Market

Like the local market, the price of the yellow plate in the international market also went down for the second consecutive day and decreased by $5 to settle at $1,990 per ounce from its previous rate of $1,995. The previous day, the rates of gold in the international market decreased by $6.

Meanwhile, during the last couple of days, the price of gold recorded a consistent surge in the international market that also affected the local bullion market. Last Friday, the price in the international market was increased by $27 per ounce.
