Gold Price Down by Rs1,200 in Pakistan at Settle at Rs217,000 Per Tola

ISLAMABAD: After a continues decline for the last couple of days, the price for the per tola 24 karats of gold went down further by Rs1200 to settle Rs217,000 per tola on Friday. The decrease in the price of the precious metal in the local market occurred due to the fall in rates in the international rate. Last day, the price of the yellow plate in the local market went down by Rs1,800 per tola.

Meanwhile, according to All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the rates for the 10-grams of 24 karats of gold also witnessed a decrease of Rs1,028 and was available at Rs186,043.

However, the price of per tola white plate (Silver) remained constant at Rs2,660.

Gold Price in International Market.

Like the local bullion market, the rates for the precious metal in the international market went down by as $9 to settle at $2,058 per ounce, against the last day price of $2,067 per ounce.

The price of the gold in the domestic bullion market usually influenced by the price in the international market. Last couple of days witnessed a significant increase (except last four days) in the price of the yellow plate in the international market, affecting the local gold market. However, on Monday, despite no increase or decrease in the international market, the price in the local market went down due to some positive indicators from the stock and currency markets, followed by consecutive fall on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
