Gold Price Down by Rs.1,200 to Settle at Rs.212,100 Per Tola

ISLAMABAD: After a significant increase of Rs2000 last Saturday, the per tola price of 24 karats of gold witnessed a decrease by Rs.1,200 on Monday and was available at Rs.212,100 against its sale of Rs.213,300 the previous day. 

The price of the precious metal also witnessed a major increase of Rs2900 last Thursday in the local market. 

Meanwhile, according to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24 karats of gold on Monday also went down by Rs.1,028 to close at Rs.181,842 against its previous price of Rs. 182,870 whereas the rates for the 10 grams of 22 karats of the yellow metal decreased Rs.166,688 from its previous price of Rs.167,631. 

However, like the last couple of days, the price of per tola and ten grams of white plate (silver) witnessed no change and settled at Rs.2,550 and Rs.2,186.21, respectively. 

Gold Price in International Market

Like the local bullion market, the price of the precious metal in the international market also experienced a decrease of $14 to settle at $2,012 per ounce as compared to $2,026 the last day.

During the last couple of days, the price of the yellow plate in the international market witnessed a major increase, particularly in the context of the Israel-Palestine conflict, also affecting the local bullion market.
