ISLAMABAD: After a mild decrease in the international market, the per tola price of 24 karats of gold went down by Rs.400 to settle at Rs.209,200 on Tuesday against its sale at Rs.209,600 on the previous day.
Meanwhile, according to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24 karats of gold also witnessed a decrease by Rs.343 and was available at Rs.179,355 against its previous rates of Rs.179,698 whereas the price of 10 grams of 22 karats of the precious metal decreased to Rs.164,409 from its last day price of Rs.164,723.
However, like the previous day, the price of the white plate (silver) per tola and ten grams remained unchanged at Rs.2,550 and Rs.2,186.21, respectively.
Gold Price in International Market
Like the local bullion market, the price of the yellow plate in the international market went down by $6 to settle at $1,995 per ounce from its last-day price of $2,001. Last day, the price of the yellow metal in the international market went up by $9, influencing the local market.
Meanwhile, during the last couple of days, the price of the yellow metal witnessed a continuous increase in the international market. Last Friday, the rates in the international market were increased by $27 per ounce. The continued increase in the international market has affected the rapid increase of rates in the local market.
