BAKU: German foreign minister Annalena Baerbock called on Azerbaijan on Wednesday to grant access to international observers to enter the defeated breakaway Nagorno-Karabakh region.

Azerbaijan initiated a rapid military campaign to gain control of Karabakh just last week, resulting in the displacement of thousands of ethnic Armenians from their homes.
Baerbock stated, “I have made the decision to substantially increase our humanitarian assistance once more and to raise our additional funding for the International Committee of the Red Cross from 2 million to 5 million euros ($5.28 million).”
