BERLIN: Germany will send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, magazine Spiegel reported on Tuesday. The media outlet claimed that Chancellor Olaf Scholz has taken the decision to send the battle tanks to Kyiv and permit other countries like Poland to do so.
Leopard Tanks
The decision of the German Chancellor concerns at least a company of the tanks, Spiegel added. Magazine Spiegel further said that other allies also intend to follow Germany in supplying their Leopard tanks to Ukraine.
Earlier, the German Foreign Minister said that she “would not stand in the way” of Poland if it wished to send Leopard-2 tanks to Kyiv.

Ukraine’s President urged the West to provide them tanks which they believe will help them defeat Moscow. Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba told the media that Germany can “save the lives of Ukrainian troops”.
