German police officers remove several protesters at Berlin’s Humboldt University as a few hundred students stage a sit-in to show their support for Palestinians in Gaza over Israel’s war with Hamas. With slogans and placards, the protesters denounce Germany’s arms supplies to Israel and demanded that their university “cut ties with all Israeli universities and academic institutions”, according to a student, Tarik, who only gave his name. More than 50 police officers were on hand to block the entrance to the university by standing in front of the gates and forcibly removing protesters.
