ISLAMABAD: The German Embassy in Islamabad proudly announced the donation of approximately PKR 1.5 million, representing the surplus proceeds from the highly successful Christmas Market held last year.
German Ambassador Alfred Grannas, along with embassy representatives, met with esteemed organizations to formally present the charitable donations and learn about their impactful projects.
During the meetings, Ambassador Grannas met with organizations including the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat – Flood Relief, Aaghosh Mera Ghar, Haashar Association, Rawalpindi Leprosy Hospital, and MOM – Music on Mission.
Recipient Organization Appreciates German Ambassador
The recipient organizations expressed their gratitude to the German Ambassador for his generous contribution and showcased their plans for utilizing the funds to support various charitable causes.
Impressed by the significant work being carried out by these organizations, Ambassador Grannas expressed his delight, stating, “I am delighted to learn that our proceeds are being directed towards exceptional projects that are creating a positive difference in society.”
In December of the previous year, the German Embassy hosted the German Christmas Charity Market, a remarkable event held at the Serena Hotel. The market attracted around 1,000 guests who had the opportunity to purchase gifts from diverse stalls while enjoying authentic German food and hospitality.
