SIALKOT: A German delegation on Wednesday visited the Pakistan Sports Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PSGMEA) to discuss trade issues.
The delegation included Bettina Muller, Project Director at SEQUA; Christian von Mitzlaff, Supply Chain Due Diligence Consultant; Sarim Mehmood, Sector Expert/Consultant; and Dr. Michael Arretz, Managing Director at VFI e.V, German Importers.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by PSGMEA Chairman Muhammad Arshad Latif Butt, Vice Chairman Zarrar Ahmed Dodhi, Secretary General Mohsin Masood, and other members.
Arshad Latif Butt expressed enthusiasm about exploring collaborative opportunities to enhance sustainable practices within the supply chain and ensure that Pakistani products uphold the highest standards.
He highlighted Sialkot’s global reputation for producing footballs, noting that these products are used in Germany as well. He emphasized that an exchange of trade delegations could unlock new business opportunities and foster cooperation.
Dr. Michael Arretz praised the vision of Sialkot’s business community and reiterated a commitment to expanding bilateral trade relations. He affirmed their intent to collaborate closely with Pakistani entrepreneurs, especially from Sialkot.
At the conclusion of the visit, PSGMEA Chairman Arshad Latif Butt presented commemorative shields to the German guests.
