Georgia State Assembly Lauds Envoy Masood Khan for Strengthening US-Pakistan Relations

WASHINGTON: The Georgia House of Representatives passed Resolution 844 on Friday, commending Ambassador Masood Khan for his dedicated and effective service as Pakistan’s envoy to the United States, which significantly strengthened US-Pakistan relations.

The resolution, jointly introduced by five prominent Congressmen including Farooq Mughal, highlighted Ambassador Masood Khan’s exemplary qualities of integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness. It recognized his distinguished service, noting his unwavering commitment to excellence and his pivotal role in enhancing bilateral ties.

Congressman Farooq Mughal and Ambassador Masood Khan were credited for their collaborative efforts in fostering deep economic connections between Pakistan and Georgia, leading to the landmark Sister-State resolution in March 2023.

This resolution aimed to bolster mutual trade, commerce, and partnerships in education, environment, and culture between Sindh and Georgia.

Ambassador Masood Khan expressed gratitude to the State Assembly and its members, particularly Congressmen Mughal, Beverly, Gilliard, Cheokas, and Pirkle.

He praised Georgia’s significant economic progress and highlighted the potential of the Sindh-Georgia sister-state relationship to facilitate beneficial collaborations in trade, investment, education, environment, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.

Masood Khan also acknowledged the contributions of the Pakistani-American community in Georgia, emphasizing their positive impact on the state. He expressed optimism that the partnership between Georgia and Pakistan would continue to flourish, benefiting both populations in the future.
