DUBAI: Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi has met with the United Nations Secretary-General’s envoy on technology Singh Gill on the sidelines of the 2024 World Government Summit, in Dubai, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.
The summit is taking place under the theme “Shaping Future Governments.”
According to the SPA, during the meeting, Albudaiwi stressed that artificial intelligence (AI) in the era of digital transformation is the future that must be harnessed for the benefit of the societies.

He expressed the willingness of the GCC General Secretariat to collaborate with the UN office of the technology envoy to promote the digitization era in the GCC countries.
The meeting also discussed topics related to technology, digital transformation, and the respective efforts of both sides in this regard.
