RIYADH: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi has met with Turkish Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Fatih Ulusoy and affirmed the importance of enhancing mutual cooperation between the countries of the GCC and the Republic of Türkiye, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.
They also discussed the free-trade agreement (FTA) between the two sides, which holds great significance in strengthening economic ties.
According to the SPA, the meeting was held at the GCC General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh.

During the talks, several topics came under discussion, including a review of the shared historical ties between the GCC and the Republic of Türkiye and ways to develop them in all areas to serve common interests.
They discussed cooperation on issues that support the GCC-Turkish efforts in fighting drugs, money laundering, and terrorism. They also exchanged views on various regional and global matters and topics of common interest.
