GCC Secretary-General and Uzbekistan’s FM Discuss Strategic Dialogue Meeting

RIYADH: Jasem Albudaiwi, the secretary-general of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), held discussions with Uzbekistan’s Foreign Affairs Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov in Tashkent on Sunday. The main agenda of their meeting centered around preparations for the upcoming second ministerial meeting of the Strategic Dialogue between the GCC and Central Asian countries.

Scheduled to take place on April 15 in Tashkent, this ministerial meeting will convene foreign affairs ministers from both the GCC and Central Asian nations. Albudaiwi emphasized the significant importance that GCC countries place on their relationships with Central Asian nations. He highlighted that organizing this joint ministerial meeting within a year of the first summit reflects the strong commitment of these countries to advance relations across various domains.

During the forthcoming meeting, discussions are anticipated to concentrate on political coordination, as well as collaboration in investment and economy, with a specific emphasis on digital economy and green energy security and utilization.
