GCC Sec-Gen Offers Condolences to Iran Acting FM Over President Raisi’s Death

RIYADH: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi has offered condolences to the acting foreign minister of Iran, Ali Bagheri, on the passing of President Dr. Ebrahim Raisi, and his accompanying delegation, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.

During the phone call, he also expressed condolence on the death of the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, following the unfortunate accident of the helicopter crash.

Albudaiwi also emphasized the solidarity and support of the GCC for the government and people of Iran in these difficult circumstances.

He reiterated his deep sympathy and sincere condolences to the victims’ families.

Additionally, he expressed hope that Iran would overcome this great calamity and that Allah Almighty would bless the Iranian people with security, prosperity, and safety.
