GCC Chief Urges for Gulf-Chinese Partnership

RIYADH: Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) secretary-general Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi has stressed the importance of strengthening the prospects of strategic partnership ties between the GCC and China.

The remarks came when the GCC chief received Chen Weiqing, the Chinese envoy to the Kingdon of Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday in Riyadh.

They discussed a mechanism for following up on the results of the statement released by the Riyadh Summit for Cooperation and Development organized in December 2022, which aimed to consolidate the existing strategic partnership between the two sides, according to Arab News.

Free trade deal between GCC, China

Moreover, the meeting discussed bilateral dialogue on the free trade deal between the two sides and reviewed regional and international developments of shared concern.
