GCC Chief Condemns Israeli Human Rights Violations in Gaza

RIYADH: Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohammed Al-Budaiwi has firmly reiterated the collective stance of the GCC countries, condemning the severe Israeli infringements of global humanitarian law in Gaza, especially its consistent and direct targeting of civilian population, Arab media reported on Wednesday.

The GCC chief also underlined the immediate need for a truce. He expressed these remarks during a with a delegation from the European Parliament in Riyadh.

The Secretary General also briefed the delegation on the most recent developments in Gaza, highlighting the GCC’s firm support for initiatives aimed at halting the progression of Israel’s army actions. On the occasion, the GCC chief advocated for the establishment of secure passageways to ensure the delivery of humanitarian and medical help, Arab News reported.

Secretary-General Jasem Mohammed Al-Budaiwi also firmly opposed any propositions to forcefully displace the Palestinians inhabitants of Gaza, asserting that such acts violate basic human rights and international standards.
