The Secretary General lauded the role of the AP and its efforts to promote cooperation among Arab countries and collective action, with an objective of achieving a prosperous and sustainable future. He said that this meeting is taking place at a time when our Arab nation is facing painful and immense challenges, foremost among them is the just cause of Palestine, which will always remain the central and primary priority of Arab world. He added this has been consistently demonstrated in the clear and unwavering positions adopted by the GCC since its establishment.
Albudaiwi said violations and crimes by the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza Strip and other Palestinian territories is a deep wound in the heart of every Arab and Muslim. He added that these violations and crimes are not only a violation of human rights and global laws, but also an open challenge to all human values and principles.

The GCC has repeatedly urged the international community to adopt effective policies and measures to ensure an immediate ceasefire, stop the settlement activities and land confiscation, deescalate the violence against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, including Al-Quds and the holy Islamic sites, as well as support the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state within the 1967 borders, with East Al-Quds as its capital, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and all relevant resolutions.
Furthermore, the GCC Secretary General stated the cooperation of the GCC General Secretariat with the Arab Parliament and other Arab institutions stems from its deep belief that unity and solidarity among Arab states is the optimal path to achieve stability, security, and prosperity for Arab peoples.
