Gaza War: Israeli Strikes Kill 90 in Jabalia Refugee Camp

GAZA: Gaza Health Ministry spokesman has said that Israeli air strikes on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza has killed 90 Palestinians.

Earlier, Palestinian media reported that at least 47 Palestinians were killed in Israeli air strikes targeting houses in Jabalia town and the Deir al Balah refugee camp in the besieged enclave.

Palestine’s official news agency said that 35 Palestinians were killed and dozens were wounded on Sunday during an Israeli bombing of a house in the town of Jabalia in Gaza.

Earlier, two Egyptian security sources have said that Israel and Hamas are ready to a renewed truce and captives release, although disagreements remain on the implementation of the mechanism.

According to sources Hamas says a complete ceasefire is a precondition for the release of captives.

The Gaza health ministry has said that nearly 19,000 innocent Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza war so far mostly women and children.

The war was paused for seven days as a result of a Qatar- US brokered deal during which Hamas released 105 captives, including 80 in exchange for 240 Palestinian prisoners.

International organizations, including the UN’s World Health Organization, have expressed deep concern over the humanitarian disaster in Gaza.

A recent visit to Gaza City’s Al-Shifa hospital revealed alarming conditions, with the emergency department described as a “bloodbath” and a severe shortage of water and food for tens of thousands of displaced Palestinian people seeking shelter.

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced late Saturday that he would travel to Israel, Bahrain, and Qatar to underscore Washington’s commitments to strengthening regional security and stability.
