GAZA CITY: In what was once the courtyard of the Kamal Adwan hospital in the northern Gaza city of Beit Lahiya, Palestinian families wade through the rubble, searching for corpses.
The sound of one of them sobbing breaks out while he wraps a body to prepare for the funeral.
Mahmud Assaf, 50, came to the hospital from Jabalia with a cart to recover two children of his relatives who had been patients at the facility for ten days, AFP news agency reported.
I found Hadi paralyzed, lying on his back under the chairs. Everything was on top of him, he said, speaking about one of the minors who was severely burned and appeared barely conscious.

The Hamas-run health ministry reported on 12 December that the Israeli forces stormed the Kamal Adwan hospital in Gaza City during a “siege” that lasted several days.
