RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia’s culture minister reiterated the Kingdom’s strong disapproval of the ongoing “unjustifiable” attacks on civilians in Gaza and facilities, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
“We strongly condemn the continuous attacks on civilians and the destruction of schools, hospitals, and cultural properties in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories,” Prince Badr bin Farhan said at UNESCO’s General Conference in Paris.
He characterized these actions as unjustifiable transgressions against international norms and laws.
In his address, the minister underscored that the Kingdom’s condemnation is rooted in UNESCO’s founding charter, which promotes international understanding as a prerequisite for preventing the recurrence of crimes, genocides, racism, and wars.
He further emphasized the need for heightened international efforts to safeguard the rights of civilians, aiming to contribute to the attainment of global peace and stability.
