Sri Lanka stumble in tri-series opener
While Kirsten enjoyed Islamabad’s natural splendour away from the pitch, his team endured a disappointing start to the ODI tri-series, suffering a 37-run defeat against Pakistan in the opening match in Rawalpindi on Sunday.
Pakistan posted 305 runs, powered by Salman Ali Agha’s 107 off 90 deliveries, while Babar Azam contributed 45.

Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi claimed three wickets, while Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf and Faheem Ashraf picked up two wickets apiece.
As the tri-series continues, Kirsten will be keen to revive Sri Lanka’s campaign. His cycling adventure, meanwhile, has highlighted another side of Pakistan, a country where cricketing rivalries share the stage with remarkable landscapes, outdoor adventures and warm opportunities for exploration.
