RAWALPINDI: The funeral prayer of a soldier of the Pakistan Army, who embraced martyrdom in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s provincial capital on Monday, was offered in his native hometown of Bannu, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release on Tuesday.
The military’s media wing, ISPR, stated in the release that Lance Naik Abdur Rehman lost his life on September 11 in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion that targeted a vehicle of security forces near Warsak Road in Peshawar.
The statement further mentioned that the martyr was laid to rest with full military honors, and senior serving and retired officers, soldiers, relatives, and a large number of people attended the funeral.
The security forces of Pakistan remain steadfast in their determination to eradicate the menace of terrorism and ensure the safety and defense of the motherland at all costs.
