LOS ANGELES: Matthew Perry, one of the actors of smash hit TV sitcom “Friends,” was found dead at his house Saturday, Western media reported. The actor was 54. The Los Angeles Times reported that the star was found unconscious in a hot tub at his home by first responders. The paper citied officials as saying they were not able to revive the actor.
Matthew Perry was best known for his portrayal of Chandler Bing character on NBC’s popular “Friends,” which ran for ten seasons from 1994 to 2004.
He had battled for years with addiction to drugs and also attended rehabilitation clinics on several occasions.

During a recent televised “Friends” reunion, the star astonished his co-stars by acknowledging to having suffered severe anxiety on daily basis.
