TEL AVIV: Freed hostages and family members have clashed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over inability to release remaining captives and strongly criticized his approach towards war in Gaza.
The meeting comes as the fighting has been resumed in the Gaza Strip after a seven-day pause that witnessed the release of more than 100 captives from the enclave.
Relatives of the captives during the event bitterly criticized Netanyahu government.
Dani Miran, whose son Omri was taken captive on October 7 said he felt insulted during the meeting and had walked out in the middle of it.
He refused to disclose details of the meeting to the local media but said the whole event was ugly, insulting and messy.

The meeting had been convened for released captives to tell ministers of their experience in captivity. However, the encounter was overshadowed by the anger of families worried by the fate of relatives still in captivity.
Jennifer Master, whose partner Andrey is a captive said the meeting was very turbulent with many people yelling.

Since October 7, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported a staggering toll of 16,200 Palestinians killed, including over 6,500 children and more than 4,000 women, with an additional 41,136 wounded.
The conflict has left an estimated 1.8 million people displaced in Gaza, representing three-quarters of the population. The Israeli military reported conducting around 10,000 airstrikes, while more than 11,500 rockets were fired at Israel since the conflict began.
The Israeli air and ground strikes have also caused extensive damage to buildings, including hospitals, mosques, and churches.
