PARIS, France: French President Emmanuel Macron will host an international conference in support of Ukraine on Monday, his office announced on Thursday.
European leaders and ministers have been invited to the meeting to consider “available ways to strengthen partner cooperation in support of Ukraine” as Russia’s aggression enters its third year.
Polish President Andrzej Duda told the media that he would attend the meeting to discuss new proposals for solutions and support for Ukraine.
Ukraine has been under severe pressure on its eastern front in recent months, facing a shortage of ammunition and a halt in much-needed military aid from the West.
For months, Russia has ramped up weapons production and devoted significant human resources to the attacks, which Kiev says have resulted in massive casualties.
The US Congress has so far refused to approve new funding for military aid to Kiev, even though President Joe Biden has expressed confidence that he will eventually do so.
