Though France has offered its support for Israel after October 7 Hamas strike, there has been growing concern over civilian casualties in Gaza due to heavy bombardment by Israel that has killed thousands of incident people including women and children.

President Emmanuel Macron confirmed to reporters that the conference would take place.

Head of states, foreign ministers to attend the conference

Head of states and foreign ministers of different states are likely to attend the conference. Important regional stakeholders such as Egypt, Jordan and the Gulf Arab countries will be invited as well as Western, European powers and G20 members, except Russia.

International institutions, including the United Nations and Arab League, and non-governmental organizations functioning in Gaza will also be present.

The Palestinian Authority would be present; however, Israel will not be invited. France Paris would inform Israel of the initiative and the work decisions taken out at the conference.

The conference will be able to mobilize financial resources with different sectors identified for emergency support based on U.N. evaluations of the immediate needs and the opening of strictly humanitarian crossing points into Gaza.
