ISLAMABAD: Responding to a directive from the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, the team conducted a comprehensive inspection tour of the Industrial Area Sub-Division on Tuesday and sealed four shops after finding dengue larvae.
This proactive initiative was undertaken to mitigate the potential dengue spread, as ICT Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Tabasum disclosed.
During the inspection, the Assistant Commissioner of Industrial Area, Awais Irshad Bhatti, meticulously examined tire shops, sentry stores, and waste bins, focusing on detecting any indications of dengue transmission, Dr. Tabasum reported.
He further mentioned that some concerning findings necessitated immediate action. Consequently, four places were directed to cease operations and undertake larvicidal measures due to dengue larvae in multiple locations.
Furthermore, a stern warning was issued to other establishments, underscoring a heightened commitment to combating the dengue threat in the region.
