QUETTA: A powerful explosion ripped through the Shahrah e Iqbal area in Quetta on Sunday, killing at least four people and injuring eight others. The blast occurred near a police mobile van, causing extensive damage to nearby shops and vehicles.
According to eyewitnesses, the bomb was planted on the roadside near the police vehicle. The injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared the condition of some of the wounded as critical.
Security forces cordoned off blast site
Police and security forces cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation to apprehend those responsible for the attack. No group has claimed responsibility for the blast yet.
The provincial government and law enforcement agencies have strongly condemned the attack, vowing to take all necessary measures to bring the perpetrators to justice.
The blast has once again highlighted the need for enhanced security measures in Quetta and other parts of the country to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
