Four Killed, 26 Injured in Iraq Gas Explosion

ISLAMABAD: At least four people were killed and 26 wounded when a gas explosion blew up a bakery located above a student dormitory in Iraq’s Duhok province, health authorities have said.

Medical officials in Iraq’s Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) said the wounded have been admitted to the hospital.

Last week, another gas explosion at a house in northern Iraq’s Sulaymaniyah province left 15 people dead. As many as 16 people were also injured in the incident on Thursday which caused the entire house to collapse. Sulaimaniyah’s civil defence said on Friday that it took 17 hours to find the victims.
