KHARAN, BALOCHISTAN: Four people were killed and one was severely injured in firing by unknown assailants in the Kharan District of Balochistan province of Pakistan on Friday.
The incident occurred as unknown men entered a house overnight and opened fire, killing four and injuring another in Dairy Farm area of the district, reported private news channel ARY while citing police officials.
The police said the wounded individual and dead bodies were transported to a local hospital and an investigation is underway to probe the incident. Two of the deceased persons as well as the wounded have been identified, while the identity of the other two who died still remains unknown. Kharan is a far-flung district of Balochistan, mostly inhabited by local tribes and clans.
