WASHINGTON: A former US Ambassador to Bolivia, Manuel Rocha, 73, has been arrested and is set to appear in federal court in Florida on Monday, according to media reports. The arrest, which took place on Friday, has raised concerns as Rocha stands accused of covertly serving as an agent of the Cuban government.

The Associated Press (AP News Agency) was the first to report Rocha’s arrest, citing anonymous sources. The allegations against him suggest a clandestine relationship with the Cuban government, details of which are expected to unfold during legal proceedings.
